These Terms are entered into between you and X Chauffeurs Limited, operating in Somaliland under the trading names DALAB Taxi and DALAB Food.

- Definitions
In these Terms, “Account” means your registered user profile; “App” means any DALAB Taxi or DALAB Food mobile application, web application, or digital platform; “Booking” means a request for transportation, delivery, or related services submitted through our platform; “Customer” means any rider, passenger, purchaser, food customer, or end user; “Driver” means any driver, rider, courier, or transport provider using the platform to offer services; “Delivery Partner” means any courier, merchant delivery staff, or independent logistics provider; “Merchant” means any restaurant, café, grocery business, retailer, or seller offering goods through DALAB Food; “Services” means all services made available through DALAB Taxi and DALAB Food, including transportation booking, food ordering, delivery facilitation, communication tools, customer support, and payment support; and “Third Party Provider” means any independent person or business providing transportation, food, goods, delivery, or related services through the platform.
- Acceptance of These Terms
By accessing or using DALAB Taxi or DALAB Food, you confirm that you have read and understood these Terms, agree to be legally bound by them, are at least 18 years old or otherwise have legal capacity to use the services, and will provide accurate and current information. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use our platform.
- Our Services
4.1 DALAB Taxi
DALAB Taxi is a ride-hailing and transport booking platform that enables users to request trips, view estimated pricing, communicate with drivers, and complete journeys through our digital systems.
4.2 DALAB Food
DALAB Food is a food and delivery platform that enables users to browse merchants, place orders, pay through available methods, and receive deliveries from merchants or delivery partners.
4.3 Platform role
Depending on the service, DALAB may provide the service directly, facilitate a service between you and an independent provider, or act as a technology, logistics, communication, booking, payment support, or customer support intermediary. Where a service is provided by an independent third party, your contract for that service may be directly with that third party.
- Account Registration
To use certain services, you must create an account. Your account is personal to you. You must keep your login details secure, provide complete and accurate information, and promptly update information that changes. We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your account if we reasonably believe that your information is false or misleading, your account has been misused, you have breached these Terms, or your use creates safety, fraud, legal, or reputational risks.
- User Obligations
When using DALAB Taxi or DALAB Food, you must use the services lawfully and responsibly, treat drivers, delivery partners, merchants, staff, and other users with respect, and avoid abuse, threats, harassment, fraud, property damage, or unlawful activity. You must not use the platform to place fake orders, request prohibited items, interfere with the normal operation of the app or website, or otherwise misuse the service. You are responsible for activity carried out through your account unless you promptly report unauthorised use and were not negligent in protecting your credentials.
- Bookings and Contract Formation
7.1 Transportation bookings
When you request a ride through DALAB Taxi, your request is an offer to obtain transportation services. A contract is formed when your booking is accepted and confirmed through the app, website, message, or other official DALAB communication.
7.2 Food orders
When you place an order through DALAB Food, your order is a request for merchant items and, where applicable, delivery services. Your order becomes binding when accepted by the relevant merchant and/or delivery system.
7.3 Right to reject
We reserve the right to reject, cancel, or suspend any request or order where the request is incomplete or suspicious, payment cannot be verified, the service is unavailable, safety or operational concerns arise, or fraud or misuse is suspected.
- Pricing, Charges, and Payment
8.1 Charges
You agree to pay all applicable charges connected with your use of the services, including ride fares, delivery fees, service fees, platform fees, waiting charges, tolls or access charges, merchant item prices, cancellation fees, cleaning or damage charges, and any applicable taxes.
8.2 Estimates
Price estimates displayed in the app are for convenience only. Final charges may differ due to traffic, route changes, waiting time, extra stops, order changes, delivery distance, weather, or operational conditions.
8.3 Payment methods
You must provide a valid accepted payment method where required. We may support cash, mobile money, debit card, credit card, wallet payments, or other methods from time to time.
8.4 Failed payments
If a payment fails, we may retry collection, use a secondary payment method, suspend your account, restrict future bookings, or recover unpaid amounts by lawful means.
8.5 Receipts
We may issue electronic receipts, invoices, order summaries, or payment confirmations by app, SMS, WhatsApp, or email.
- Cancellation
9.1 Ride cancellations
You may cancel a ride request before the driver arrives, but a cancellation fee may apply if the driver has already started toward your pickup point, the driver has arrived and waited, or repeated cancellations occur.
9.2 Food order cancellations
You may cancel an order only before the merchant starts preparing it, unless otherwise stated. Once food preparation or delivery has started, cancellation may not be allowed and full charges may apply.
9.3 Failed deliveries or pickups
If a service cannot be completed because of your action or inaction, including an incorrect address, no answer, failure to attend pickup, refusal to receive the order, or an unreachable phone number, you may still be charged in full or in part.
- Refunds
Refunds are considered at our reasonable discretion, subject to applicable consumer protection requirements and the circumstances of the case. A refund may be full, partial, credited to your wallet, or returned through your original payment method.
- DALAB Taxi Terms
11.1 Nature of service
DALAB Taxi connects riders with drivers and transport providers. In some cases DALAB may provide the transportation service directly; in other cases transport may be provided by an independent driver or third-party operator.
11.2 Pickups and drop-offs
You must provide an accurate pickup and destination location. We are not responsible for delays or issues caused by incorrect details.
11.3 Rider conduct
Riders must act safely and lawfully, wear seatbelts where available, refrain from carrying unlawful or dangerous items, and avoid damaging the vehicle or harassing the driver.
11.4 Driver availability
We do not guarantee that a driver will always be available. Estimated arrival times are estimates only.
11.5 Additional charges
You may be charged extra for excessive waiting time, route changes, additional stops, cleaning fees, damage to the vehicle, or special pickup charges.
- DALAB Food Terms
12.1 Merchant information
Food descriptions, prices, ingredients, photos, and availability may be supplied by merchants. While we try to keep information accurate, we do not guarantee that all merchant content is complete, current, or error-free.
12.2 Allergies and dietary requirements
Customers must review item details carefully and contact the merchant where necessary. DALAB does not guarantee that meals are allergen-free or suitable for specific dietary requirements unless expressly confirmed by the merchant.
12.3 Delivery times
Estimated delivery times are not guaranteed. Delays may happen because of kitchen preparation, traffic, weather, demand, or operational limitations.
12.4 Missing or incorrect items
Any issue should be reported promptly through the app or our support channels. We may investigate with the merchant and delivery partner before deciding on compensation or refund.
- Third-Party Providers
Drivers, merchants, delivery partners, and other providers using the platform may be independent businesses or contractors. Where a third party provides the actual transportation, food, or delivery service, they remain responsible for their own conduct and legal obligations and may have separate terms, rules, and policies. DALAB is not automatically responsible for every act or omission of that third party unless required by law.
- Safety, Incidents, and Complaints
If there is an incident, safety issue, accident, food issue, or complaint, you should contact us as soon as possible using our in-app support or contact details. You agree to provide accurate details so that we may investigate. Where relevant, we may contact the driver, merchant, or partner, suspend accounts, request documents or evidence, cooperate with lawful requests from authorities, and take safety action we consider reasonable.
- Privacy and Data Use
We collect, use, store, and share personal data in accordance with our Privacy Notice. This may include your name, phone number, email, address, approximate or precise location, order history, trip history, payment information, device data, usage data, and support communications. By using our platform, you consent to our processing of personal data as described in our Privacy Notice.
- Intellectual Property
All rights in DALAB Taxi, DALAB Food, our apps, websites, branding, software, logos, text, graphics, systems, and content are owned by or licensed to X Chauffeurs Limited. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, republish, distribute, reverse engineer, or misuse our content or branding without written permission. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app and website for personal, lawful use only.
- Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account or access immediately if you breach these Terms, fail to pay amounts due, are suspected of fraud or unlawful conduct, create a safety risk, misuse the platform, or if we are required to do so for legal or regulatory reasons. You may stop using the platform at any time and may request account closure, subject to outstanding obligations.
- Your Liability
You are responsible for loss, damage, costs, or claims arising from your misuse of the platform, breach of these Terms, unlawful conduct, damage caused to vehicles, goods, drivers, merchants, or third parties, or false or misleading information you provide. To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold DALAB harmless against claims, losses, liabilities, damages, penalties, and expenses arising from your breach of these Terms or misuse of the services.
- Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, DALAB is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses, including loss of profit, business, revenue, contracts, goodwill, or anticipated savings. DALAB is also not liable for service interruptions caused by network failure, weather, traffic, third-party conduct, civil unrest, government action, or events beyond our reasonable control. Where permitted by law, our total aggregate liability arising out of or connected with these Terms or the services shall not exceed the amount you paid to us for the relevant service giving rise to the claim, or a reasonable local monetary cap stated in the specific service policy, whichever is lower, unless otherwise required by law.
- No Guarantee of Uninterrupted Service
Our services are provided on an “as available” and “as is” basis. We do not guarantee that the platform will always be available, every booking request will be accepted, every merchant item will be in stock, every delivery will be on time, or the app will be error-free or uninterrupted.
- Changes to the Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Where appropriate, we may notify you by app notification, email, SMS, or website posting. The updated Terms will apply when posted or when otherwise notified to you. Continued use of the platform means you accept the updated Terms.
- Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws applicable in Somaliland and, where relevant, the laws or regulatory principles applicable to the place where the service is provided. If a dispute arises, you agree to first contact us and attempt to resolve the issue in good faith through our support channels. If the dispute cannot be resolved informally, it may be referred to the courts or competent legal authorities with jurisdiction over the matter.

- Community and Platform Rules
By using DALAB Taxi or DALAB Food, you agree that you will not use abusive language, discriminate against any person, make false complaints, manipulate pricing or refunds, create duplicate or fraudulent accounts, transport illegal goods or prohibited items, place fake orders, or threaten staff, drivers, merchants, or other users. We reserve the right to remove access for any conduct that harms our users, partners, staff, or reputation.
